thats the present that I bring
I enjoy poems by tom
Because he got me to sing...
Hi I m poems by tom and from Salem Massachusetts
I created my site because I hanna change the world through music
My favorite channel on the Tube is JDJustice 72
Because we make beautiful music together
yeah - that's what we do...

---

Wrote this little piece with a green pen
- which I freed from a drawer
My time was due I see leprauchans revery now and again
- Doctor said that there's no cure
Now just imagine what kind of message that sends
- Told Mr. M.D. I can't see you NO more
He said son I could be your best friend
- I turned around and ran out the door
That was awhile ago so don't ask me when
- either, or, neither, nor
I find my bury treasure every now and then
- Like a squirrel in the winter's nuts all stored

---

While you sit down at your naked brown table
Your perked ears wait for a long lost phone call
You sit alone with your blank page
Dying while young from your old age

---

Here I am... back where it all started
Where I now stand is where I became a man
It's been many years since I departed
Once a boy without a plan
No raging fires within, only a single ember
Bid my time for such a long time
Seems like a fistful of Decembers

---

In Tom Brady
I've got a quarter back who leads my attack
One [crossed out] newer gets sached on forth and long
'Cause -> Hey I'd be lying if I told ya I believed Kobe Bryant
when he said that wasn't trying to score on the little white [crossed out] girl
after head
Oh, [crossed out] + here's more
Ya know Randy Moss really pisses me off when he rubs
his goal post on the ass - shows such a
lack of class
Gonna give somebody a rash
something something something trash
Hey artest [crossed out] cool off - have a litter cup of
water
Jesus Christ !!! Did someone hurt your
[crossed out] daughters?
You play great "D" but you're a little too "D"
Besides, Stern never liked ya, so you're gotta go
If athletes help you away from drugs + hug
I'd rather be a stoner then some flichin' [crossed out] [crossed out]
# Now you know it's not "Run Richy Run"
It is, Roll, Richy, Roll!
This whole role model thing has gotten
outta control

The words on this page
They say Diamonds are a girl's best friend
I guess its good to have something left when
The feeling ends
When the love is gone
All that's left is a song
You sat make love to your bong
As quiet as a mouse
When your loving wife
Says get outta my house

After mistakes have been made
Just as the song said
She threw a vase
Smacked you in the face
She when you said ouch
She made you sleep on the couch
You didn't see the writing was on the wall
[Strikethrough: But then she didn't call]
Kept telling yourself tomorrow she'll call
Days to months to years
Happiness to sadness to tears
Last thought memories concern her tight blouse
And the night she said get outta my house

The words on this page
Just when I thought that the tide had turned
I played with fire and I got burned
As soon as I believed
In something I couldn't see
I Awoke from this dream
Things are not always as they seem
Reality shattered me
No longer listen to such flattery
Find out what she wants from me
And then erase her from my memory
I never liked not being sure
So what's for the best is for the best
I'm either heading south or east or else goin' out west
I guess Sometimes less is really more

---

If I could turn back this clock
Pause the tick tick toch
Reset everyone's score to zero
At least then I'd be somebody's hero
No rich and no poor, No ceiling no floor
No more stacking the deck no more
Feed the starving children as he wastes away
Watch the fat man as he pays the price
My advice is the world's paying about a buck
You could save a life for a day, hey hey

I guess we call it writer's block
When I don't wanna write cause
my gift - everything sucks
Lost my bread and butter
Feels so dead I despise my father and
mother
Pro-choice, poster child of the world
Dying inside, I cried just like a little girl
Empty as an oyster that's lost its pearl
Like a unicorn without a horn
My only creation is devestation

Why was I born

---

could capture this emotion
lock it away down the bottom of the ocean
Uncertainty don't mean anything to me
biding my time while hiding in my rhyme
I'll be here long after closing time
Hitting my bong & getting along
Insanity don't mean anything to me -
There ya read it I said it it's in my
book of poetry

Now I know how to free my self from pain
Cause there Ain't nobody left to blame
It's all on my shoulders now
There are still Answers to find
some where and some how
Yet at least one more mountain to climb
I've pictured it in my mind
Only been seen by the blind
And traversed by the lame
Peaks of pleasure and guarded by
Valleys of pain
Where Once you taste the water
You'll never be thirsty again
But The problem isn't where - it's when
And of my burning desire the one single candle
[strikethrough: He [?] of [?]] that light [strikethrough: [?]] my fire

---

I think my baby's gonna leave me,
But none of my friends believe me.
I think my baby's gonna leave me,
If my eyes don't deceive me.
Why do I sit down when I should stand tall,
why is it me who never sees the writing on the wall.

---

I write about what the day brings then I
I Decide what to add stop to rest
and what I liked the best , what to change
I picked this way though it might sound
strange
But the Instant my pen touches paper. everything
has changed
I write about a church burnen' down
My pen touches paper -a new one is
raised
I write about the man in the moon
My pen touches paper up comes the days
Enjoy what you got right now 'cause
soon it will be
Water evaporates, the rest it turns to dust
There's nothing that lasts so long
That you can ever trust

---

A jet plane
That ain't so high
Don't say hello

Leave that to me
You'll save your family tree

It'll just be myself

No dead end
I ain't yet a goner (gonah)
Take a seat by my side
you'll see it's true
I have no greater
weakness than when I'm with you

---

I've loosened up abit
But I won't get out
Sick of this and that
You know the same old shit
It's just my pen and me
Nothing we can't see
A table at the bar
It don't take that long
You may have come so far
But it's the same old song
That my best this way
No livin' day to day
Time to plan a future
The old people say
Seperate this from that
Throw out the trash
Go to ash wednesday
Don't forget your cash

---

I've given up on feeding my addiction
Wash my hands clean from this filthy affliction
Look up at the sky to guide my direction
Why oh why do I even strive for perfection?

Get it up, get it out, put another on the shelf
Rip in and pull it out, another piece of your self
Show what so many others hide
In their sense of pride
Their Tounges that lied
[crossed out text] with a crossed look denied
Their Tongues so tied
KNOWING NOT BY WHICH WHAT THEY ABIDE... IN
GIN? SIN? KIN?
Where one man's rainbow ends another's begins
I've found mine, Never stop trying

The words on this page
Darkness has slowly become my best friend,
Been trying everything but this feeling wont end.
Confusion is my brother, I'm the son of desperation,
Lost is my desire and I'm still looking for motivation.
I've put everything off till the end of time,
My friends think there psychics, trying to read my mind.
I tell 'em you can't read blank paper with only blue lines,
The traffic lights are red and stop reads [?] the signs.
I can only see things blurly, no better than the blind
People ask me how I'm doing, Of course I tell them I'm doin fine.
I want to scream at them even though they're being hind
I wish I could tell them the truth but i don't feel inclined.

Every morning I pray I can stay in bed,
Sleep is so peaceful, so good for the head.
Got to think positive is what the doctor said,
The best I can do is pretty soon I'll be dead.
I told the doctor, he didn't want to see me no more,
He shook my hand and then hiked me out the door.
I'm sitting on the corner with a coffee and a cigarette in my hand
A woman passed by throw some change in my cup and said dim sorry but i do understan
I just drank my coffee and almost choked on a dime,
I imagine this is what I'll be feeling till the end of time
I saw a beautiful lady and I took her by the hand
Said "Please come with me, away from this harsh land

She must have been foreign, she didn't understand,
Why is it your life, never goes as planned?

Caught a glimpse of the cover, kept singin' the blues.
With all this mahem and murder makes me feel even worse,
How fitting five people died in an accident by a guy drivin' a hurst.
I'm adding to the problem, when you hear this you ain't gonna feel
any better,
I hope that its sunny and my life will change like the
weather.

Its always raining and clouds never want to pass by,
so depressing, the reason I imagine I always break down and
I guess I'm stuck here, got no money and my car wont
a car with a tape player with Bob Dylan on the stac
where I can have a wife and some kids and die of old
yes someday, I'll find the key to my cage,
yes someday, I'll get rid of this rage,
yes someday, empty won't read the gauge,
yes someday, my hand will turn the page
yes someday, i'll have it made,
It's just too bad that day isn't today.

---

She must have been foreign, she didn't understand,
Why is it your life, never goes as planned?
I bought a newspaper and was looking for some good news,
Caught a glimpse of the cover, kept singin' the blues.
With all this mahem and murder makes me feel even worse,
How fitting five people died in an accident by a guy drivin' a hearse.
I'm adding to the problem, when you hear this you ain't gonna feel any better,
I hope that it's sunny and my life will change like the weather.

It's always raining and clouds never want to pass by,
so depressing, the reason I imagine I always break down and cry.
I guess I'm stuck here, got no money and my car wont run,
I'll have to get a new one, and I'll drive to where there's sun.
A car with a tape player with Bob Dylan on the stage,
where I can have a wife and some kids and die of old age.
Yes some day, I find the key to my cage,
yes someday, I'll get ride of this rage,
yes someday, empty won't read the gauge,
yes someday, my hand will turn the page.
Yes someday, I'll have it made,
It's just too bad that day isn't today.

The words on this page
This is a story about a boy who's dog ran away,
While during a snow storm he went out to play.
The dog made it home but the boy became lost,
He set out to find a loved one, no matter what the cost.
When you're a fourth grader finding a dog is no easy task,
Should you risk your life for a pet? It depends on who you ask.
The fact that Jason said yes should come as no surprise,
He loved that dog to pieces you could see it in his eyes.
Little Jason was a hero so he set out through the snow,
It saddens my heart deeply to tell his tale of woe.
What a brave little soul right up until the end,
What a brave little soul to go search for his friend.
A bit of inspiration is what he left behind,
He listened to his heart, paid no attention to his mind.
And when he left our world with the situation oh so grim,
The last thought that filled his head is that the dog would do the same for him.
The saddest of it all, the reason why we cried,
If not for the heart of an angel he never would have died.
When you think of him in memory try to wipe away the tears,
Remember what he was wise beyond his years.

My Girlfriends house → Parents' home
They don't like me much → So we can't be alone
We're sitting on the sofa → she's lookin' fine
We've been dating so long → they know she's mine
They think she's pure → and she can wear white
An innocent college girl oregon → a parent's delight
I'm so sorry she didn't tell what's right
Like what she does when she spends the night
Because of these lies:
in the bushes we hide
Because of these lies:
We take the car for a ride
Because of these lies:
By your law she abides
They say what's unknown doesn't hurt you
And that the truth shall set you free
But if they only knew what I've taken
They'd take my girl away from me

Come for a ride and I'll take you away
Its finally our turn in the game we play
Yeah I'm feelin' good, I really got it tonight
Lets drive some where and turn out the light
Love has prices and love has its costs
I'll unbutton my shirt while you look out for the cops
Though she can't buy wine she can still buy smokes
Is she old enough for love? Don't ask her Folks
Old school valves and an old school style
Today I'd place em in an old school pile
Because of the old way:
They try to keep me away
Because of the old way:
They never let me stay
Because of the old way:
This game we play
Because of the old way:
They think we'll wait for our wedding day
When she's off at college they don't see me at all
and When she's home in the window I crawl
Better not get caught, I heard her dad's gotta gun
I smoke a pack a day - don't get far when I run
Too great the risk - I don't wanna get caught
I think its time for the parking lot
us to go

He loved her like I loved you
Only he would do what I couldn't do
Though she was far away she was in his heart
with love so strong the sea would part
He is the man to whom I kneel
They were the two who's fate was sealed
wedding rings, souls bound so tight
Nothings wrong when the love is right
The young lady, I knew her well
But some peoples' heaven is another's hell
They were the two with hearts so entwined
But I still remember the day she used to be mine
from jealousy and hatred I should be free
Yet I find myself thinking How'd she do this to me?
The day she left I knew she was right
So unexpected we didn't even fight
He is the man to whom I kneel
chorus
They were the two who's fate was sealed
wedding rings, souls bound so tight
They're in love so it must be right
I will recover, it'll take some time
If you'll be my lover then I'll be fine
I set out searching for love that true
If my eyes don't deceive me I've found it in you
Take a chance to set me free
Erase my bleeding memory
Don't let me think he is better than me
Bring out a part of me that I don't see
When you said yes that part of me died
Now I've got nothing but love inside

WALKING ALONE

Alone in the crowd
My solitary parade
Shame holds my hand
Surrounding faces start to fade
We walk in unison
Chained by despair
Footstep after footstep
Going nowhere
Never asking directions
At least out loud
We just keep walking
Blending back in the crowd
We fade into the darkness
Of self-induced pain
Finding our way
By tapping our cane
After wandering for hours
while searching for our guide
I decided to close my eyes
And look deep down inside
With severed handcuffs left behind
I may now travel all alone
For I found the errors of my ways
In thinking that walking with shame
Was better than walking alone

---

Reincarnation
Legs spread wide open
muscle contractions push me right out the door
Soaking wet and thrown into a cold world
Ready to start a new tour
Groggy and crying
My eyes start to open
With my senses beginning to soar
I can't quite place it
Nor track or trace it
But something tells me I've been here before
There's no heaven or hell
As far as I can tell
Only new shapes and sizes
These different disguises
I've been a rich man, a poor man
A black man, a woman
A cat, a flea
A dog, a tree
All over the world
And every century
I've faught to supress
And I've faught to free

---

If I was a carpenter and you were a lady
What the hell?
I am a carpenter and you are a
bitch!
I build the caskets and you
dig the ditch
I lay 'em up and you lay 'em
down
Now ain't that a switch
Last one in line is the last in the
ground

I make my own gods and
worship my own idols
But at least I don't try
to pawn them off on you
Don't go knocking on doors
with my bible in hand
No bumper stickers about
Jesus - you know it's true
I worship my ears when
you talk on
I worship the ground that
you walk on
I worship your long blonde
hair
And your eyes so blue

---

I'm in love w/ myself
what about you?
Do you love me too?
Are you in love w/ yourself?
What about you?
Do you love me too?

I just cracked my first beer
But I ain't much fun 'til I have bout 8 more
That's the only way I [cross out] don't think clear
As [cross out] I forget the harsh reality we all have instore
I imagine its mostly the same
For just about everybody like me
At least that's what I claim
And I [cross out] only listen to myself At least that's what I see
This whole world's going to hell
Because of money, because of greed
And of course, it don't help
When you got 6 billion people [cross out] more than you need
Man's the only animal who takes prisoners
The only species where someone [cross out] can get something for nothing
We're the only ones who hold our finger on the button
Darwin was right about everyone but us
We could use another plague, we could use another flood
Many agree with what I say
But noone gets on the bus
We could use another war to spill some more blood
So many agree but then say no but not me
Would rather sit on the fence than hang from a tree
No, No, No they'd never make that big of sacrifice
No, No, No they'd never take my advice

Napalm smells like victory
Though you won't find that in history
Books don't always paint the picture complete
Looks like you got your potatoes but forgot the meat
The whole story has never been told
You know that pen and paper can always be sold
The pages are all ripped and torn but the cover looks new
The phases we go through are like being born only the beginning's true
Every noise the issue of race relations?
Never hear the music just change the station
How often have you ever heard then crying the slaves story or
Now you've finally learned there's no easy way out of the maze
Twisting and turning in false reflections
Listening to the echoes of voices coming [?] from directions
Who's voice do you hear when you seek the truth
So you believe the fool or do you search for proof?

---

SLAP ME
I'm getting angry... unhappy
If I start crying... please slap me
Just Put me in my place
Slap that frown right off my fucking face
You see I'm in a delicate state
Been like this for years
How long will I have to wait?
So many emotions
Though only my bleeding is constant
Do whatever it takes
For that's how bad I want it
Yet the only face I trust
Is that of the moon
I could never believe in us
It's far, far too soon
I may never believe in any[one]
Not with all the women I've seen
That's why inside my pants I pack two guns
One's quick on the draw
The other... no one knows where its been

---

TWO SEASONS
I see black clouds rolling in
Don't know where they're going
Don't know where they've been

I know some've been hanging over my head
Some been hiding heaven, others mourning the dead

Some men chase shooting stars
Some men howl at the face of the moon
While other men try to change the weather
Trying to turn every month into June

But those men aren't like me
Things like that will never do
I only want what I see
And what I'm looking at is you

And now I see the clouds are blowing away
But I don't know what that means so I don't know what to say

I've seen 'em before, I know I'll see 'em again
I've felt the warmth of sunshine, been touched by a cold, cold rain

It seems my life has just two seasons
No more, no less, that's all
It seems my life has just

---

It seems my life has just two seasons
No more, no less, that's all
It seems my life has just two seasons
No summer, no winter - only spring and fall

Sometimes when I look into your eyes
I feel I've been reborn
And still yet other times,
I can feel my heart become colder & torn

There's no greater pain then letting what you wan
slip right through your fingertips
Sometimes it hurts, sometimes it don't
But the burning in your heart still lingers
Just like the touch of her lips

What I feel I might not always say
But I need you tonight as much as I did today
What you should be knowing
Is that my love for you is still growing
Let us hope it never fades away

---

A STRANGER in the MANGER
I've been thinking that my life needs some changing
Some things still need some rearranging
And even though I wouldn't say I'm angry
If everything starts to stay the same-so strongly
I knew what to do back in two thousand and two-so blame me
If Maybe I was watching the world go by
And never even blinked an eye
Maybe I was watching too many sunrises
And never read the rules I was supposed to comply with
You know the one with the stranger who owns the manger
Its so full of danger that it's a real cliff hanger
but had its fifteen minutes
Forget the name [probably] forgotten of fame
Includes both love and pain, the honorable and the rotten, and the blind and lame
They said no other book would ever equal, then why'd they write the sequal?
They believed they were all alone, until I told em I'm writing my own
Started calling me a false preacher, I responded I'm a knowledge teacher
To which they yelled don't you even try it, you better be quiet, words
I thought they were gonna cause a riot and [illegible]
- like that can cause a riot and [illegible]
But I got the right to say it, no one has to okay it, no one has to obey
- it, the constitution states that plainly
Choosing [illegible] your own religion is just like going fishin'
Sometimes you have to throw it back in
When you know there's bigger fish in the pond
For this is the only planet I know for certain that I'm on
Don't want to be baptized in a pool of sin
Trying my best to make certain that I don't fall in

---

GLOBAL WARMING

The moving van is coming
Our troubles we're out running
Going to another place
Trying on another face
Going fishing for another start
Holding and aiming another dart
Got the flint just need the spark
Maybe this time we'll hit the mark
This game of life is where fortunes are made
To hell with aces and eights going for a flush of spade
In This land of dirty faith dealers, stealers, cheap feelers conceallers [crossed out text]
Broken dishes, floating fishes, blown kisses & ungranted wishes
Got to keep moving just to stay above water
And to think with global warming its only gettin hotter
To sink or swim in spring water or gin
Gettin healty or gettin sick they both seem to do the tric

Neil Young is gettin' old!
Cigarettes look like pencils
So maybe we were taught to smoke
We were taught to trust all priests
That's when I first learned to joke
I got C's in Religion class
Because I taught myself to question
Some questions I was taught →
→ Never to ask without permission
But I was never given so
Some things I learned were never taught
Some things I learned to know
The hard way is the only way
You'll remember a lesson for good
Some things you can learn to fake it
Some things you would wished you could

ME, YOU AND HOOBIE DOO
Well ladies and gentlemen
It is time to tell a story
About a student who liked to earn A's
He knew what he had to do to make it
He knew that hard work pays
He had a nice perspective on life
He knew who he wanted for a wife
But for a long time
He let her slip away
He practiced all the words he would say
He's still searching
For the fairer sex woman
To make his live complete
Anyone who really knows him at all
Will tell you he's not the type
To [crossed out word] settle for defeat
He's been searching for so long
And he's written so many songs
Speaking like a prophet
But still he won't get off it
He wants to have his
Cake and eat it too
And there are certain choices you have to
Make
And you also have to learn from your
mistakes

This is something that he knows
But apparently she knows it too
There's only one thing he won't do
And that is stop smokin' hoobie doo
She left and went away
Now at another's place she stays
As he's learning it doesn't pay
He saves up for his rainy day
There's no telling when it will end
There's no telling who's your new best
friend
Is a locked [crossed out word] door
Opened [crossed out word]
One that's never been entered before
No telling what's in store
And soon you'll understand
That nothing ever goes as planned
Your fate is decided
By how you handle adversity
You know I cannot hide it
I've been treated
The worse you can be
Every blow I've dealt to myself
And I cannot blame anyone else.

(She Said Me, you and hoobie doo
That's more than two
And that won't do)

The witnesses are silent
But I'm not buying it
I'll give them a place to sleep tonight
Oh so convienent
They weren't on the scene when
It came down to wrong verses right
There is no greater fury, the
Than that of the prison guard, and jury
When the testimony is complete
We'll sweep you off your feet
When you want to raise hell
We'll take you off to your cell
And if that does fail
Then we'll raise your bail
No more breakfast in bed
You're lucky to get fed
Eat now
Shit now
Sleep now
Get beat now
Can't quit Now
Go weep Now

Escape From Alcatraz
The tip of the iceberg can be seen-floating
out on the top of the Deep Blue sea
Just a glimpe of what could be-the rest
is hidden beneath the deep Blue sea
Take your Titanic and leave it at the dock.
Take your space ship and give it to Mr. Spock
You live on earth - you have been grounded
The alarm at Alcatraz - has now been sounded
the shadows of the moon reflect your
You know shape
From the guns in the tower there is no
escape
Put your hands above you head And
Accept that before the sun rises you'll
be dead.
Blindfolded, One last cigarette then the hangman's
noose
Step by step, freedom is on the loose
Try and gauge your direction by the
North Star
When the clouds mix with smog you stand
wondering where you are
After the A.P.B. they know who you are
Try and run-you know you wont get far
I am a rock, I am an island
But when the blood flows from your veins
you are silent
You can swim against the current but
your bound to float down stream
The nightmare you live is anything but
a dream.

ON ANOTHER
PLANE
Sit on my steps stare at a plane in the sky
Crash and burn two hundred thirty people die
Now I don't see things quite the same
Could have been me that was on that plane,
Talking about vacation, talking to my friend
Talking about work, talking about the end
Read in the paper there no remains found
Imagine the captain's voice saying
Smoke 'em if you got 'em
we're going down
Living is what happens only day to day
You can see how quick it all fades away

Forevery leaf on a tree
And as each one fell
Grew another seed
After spring has sprung
You must return to the roots that made who you are
When the sun has gone
You gaze up past the clouds to find your star
You know where it is just as you know who you are
As everything changes it returns to just [?]
All in all you know who what you can trust
Besides yourself is there any thing else?
Can you grab ahold if the world is gonna melt
Decisions you are faced with
Nothing can replace it
Nowhere to hide
Once you venture into the
Cave of your soul
Only you know what it holds
Do you find it?
Do you hide it?
Did you sign it?
Will you defy it?
Or do you and done
Catch hold of the wave and ride it

Jensen 1

I am the ballplayer Shoeless Joe Jackson. I got my nickname back in 1908 when I was playing in Greenville, North Carolina. I was breaking in new spikes and I got blisters on my feet something awful. I asked the coach to sit out but we were shorthanded and he needed me to play. I played in socks and ended up hitting a triple when someone out in the stands yelled, "Shoeless, you son of a gun!" I guess the name stuck. During my stay in the Majors from '08 to '20 I had a lifetime average of .356 and we won the Series in '17. The series of '19, however, was much more complicated than the one we were in a couple of years before. Before the '19 series I was known as "Shoeless" and people said that my corner of the outfield was "Where triples go to die." A year later I was banned from baseball and when my name was spoken of people usually said "Say it ain't so, Joe."

The year of the '19 Series, us Sox were the best team in the American League. We finished first and I ended up batting .351. During that season though, we were a divided team. There was a lot of hostility between Eddie Collins' group of guys and Chick Gandil's. Collins and his bunch thought that they were high class citizens and educated and stuff. They made around 15 thousand dollars a season. Us guys who weren't as educated only made around 6 thousand. We were always getting low balled by the owner because we weren't as educated as Collins and his buddies. That son of a bitch Cominsky

You know when
You believe in being free

I need a dog to find drugs for myself
won't get bagged for possession
won't have to pay the fine
The only
The moral I learned
Is that its okay to use drugs sometimes

1234 Lyrics
One Two Three Four
Tell me that you love me more
Sleepy head so sleepy head
That is what my youth was for
Old teenage hopes are alive at your door
Left you with nothing but they went some more
Oh, you're changing your heart
Oh, You know who you are
Sweetheart bitterheart now I can tell you apart
Cosy and cold, put the horse before the cart
Those teenage hopes who have tears in their eyes
Too scared to own up to one little lie
Oh, you're changing your heart
Oh, you know who you are
One, two, three, four, five, six, nine, or ten
Money can't buy you back the love that you had then
One, two, three, four, five, six, nine, or ten
Money can't buy you back the love that you had then
Oh, you're changing your heart
Oh, you know who you are
Oh, you're changing your heart
Oh, you know who you are
For the teenage boys
They're breaking your heart
For the teenage boys
They're breaking your heart

Left you with nothing but they went some more
Oh, you're changing your heart
Oh, You know who you are
Sweetheart bitterheart now I can tell you apart
Cosy and cold, put the horse before the cart
Those teenage hopes who have tears in

3 4 2 1 (George W. Bush's lullaby song to daughter Jenna)

Four three one
So much work we don't wanna do
Three two one four
That's what God made minorities for

This is exactly what my daddy said to me
When I was young he sat me down on his knee
When you're
born so insanely rich
There's no reason why you can't be prejudice
Guatemalans came here to cut the grass
For those of us who are high class
While Haitians floated over on a raft
To work at nursing homes wiping grandma's ass
Columbians grow coffee and sometimes sell cocaine
Those silly little Mexicans love working in the rain
Not sure whatcha call the ones that clean our house
But at least they do something unlike those blacks down south

We were born so insanely rich
Perhaps that's why we're so prejudice
Eleven, three, six, five and eight
Growing up wealthy, white and ignorant is great
eat
extend voice

Now tell me daddy... why'd we really go to war?
So many die... just what are they fighting for?
He said, "Well honey, think of the world as a great big machine
That runs off a whole bunch of oil and gasoline
And you know those sand people can get pretty mean
That's why we're so glad Dick Cheney's on our team

We were born so insanely rich
Perhaps that's why we're so prejudice
Eleven, three, six, five and eight
Growing up wealthy, white and ignorant is great

Three, four, two, one
And now my song is done

I have finally found a reason for waking up
It is my job to unite the legions who don't
give a fuck
Meet me at your neighbor's door between three
quarter past three and a quarter of four
We will make a list of those whom
shall live
And another dirty pile of toxic-filled hypocrites
Vigilante violence sword can save society time
Do the job in silence to help cover up the crime

Me and my friends we counter act the government
Keep the liars all in check
Four more years til this madness ends
Four more years of the puppet
Four more years of the pet
Countless millions died for this right to note
and this is what I get?

Simply one more voice of deep frustration
I'd drop the bomb - no hesitation
We once owned the garden
But it has all been wasted
We've spilled the fine wine
Which we once tasted
And there's a real thin line between a [?]
and a racia[?]

Deviate from the path of success-
You'll be left to clean up your own mess
DADDY Brought home the bacon
AND MOMMY MADE UP YOUR ROOM
Your big brother even tied the bows on your shoes
But your getting now sonny boy
And that same old shit'll never do
Stand straight and walk tall
Don't be like Jesus - pull out those stakes
And get the fuck off the wall!
Don't scream like a girl
When life kicks you in the balls

---

I know you wish you were here
Holding me this very moment
Surprisingly so suddenly you disappeared
Called me to tell me you were going
Then something was stolen from me
But I can't erase you from my memory
We both agree that some things will never be
And now that you've left me
I wish I could rewrite history
Yesterday has passed and tomorrow is just
a mystery
I won't forget your last kiss to me
And even though you never meant
That much to me
It's still sort of sad to see you leave

---

It's open mic night down at Dodge.
Someone's playing but there's no one listening
But when he's finished there's no applause
He sounds a little outta tune but his sweat is glistens

Orange is the color of the trees
At least the trees that still have leaves
In the coolness of the night
I watch the warmth of your breath escape
And soon vanish out of sight

But I shall not shiver in the cold
For I have found someone to hold
In the coolness of the night
As the skyward birds migrate
I hold my new love tight

Once I crawled through the darkest alleys
Once I slid down the slopes of the deepest valleys
In the warmth of her eyes
I become hypnotized
While gazing into her eyes
She takes me to new heights

In the warmth of her eyes

SEXUAL INTELLECTUAL
Some say I'm another link in the chain
Born into the information generation
I got all my maps and my books
And I give them a look
But I still can't tell which direction I'm facing

That sort of branding for others may be true
But I got my own term that I like to use
I call my self a sexual intellectual
Another [?] fucking know it all
But At least I know my place in this hurried race
Stay in line please follow [?] the signs
And whatever you do please dont torch the walk
For they're very, very breakable
Oops is that retractable
These people are like vegetables
very, very negotiable
Easy to bend easier to mold
Easy to be bought even easier to be sold
Seems as if all the information they hold
Has taken up room in their souls
And shattered their wills
And when it's time to pay the bill
[?] see They're the one who owes

Before Class Entry 3/27
MAJOR BLUES...
Hemingway and his time has been interfering with my time.
I've read so many books lately I do believe I'm going blind
Conrad may have a heart of darkness but my light's always on 'cause I always reading
And Lady Macbeth is not the only one who's hands are bleeding
So aren't mine from the pages I've been turning
seems like the symbolism in Hawthorne is all I've been learning.
This week I'm into Edgar Allen Poe
But what the raven said I still don't know
Somebody called so I said hello
Seemed to be the man they call Othello.
I've been hearing about revolutions,
Darwin's evolution and even Mrs. Warren's prostitution
Even my poetry is now dead to me
I've been handed my sentence with an apostrophe!
With Am Lit one and Am Lit two, Shakespeare
and even English Lit two I don't know what I'm gonna do.
It's always reading and writing
Very little time for socializing
I've been at it for three years
I don't know why it's still surprising
But with every paragraph I pass
I feel a part of me dying
I got a major case of the blues

---

My life is filled with numbers and angles
Though not all of them are on the level
Trying to get every thing straight and nice

---

Now it's time for me to pretend to be a poet
Tell me any lie and I'll pretend to [know] it's true
But I couldn't never lie to you
If I couldnt look you in the eyes
I wouldn't know what to do
So I never even try.
Is the only thing left to do

---

The saga of a slave is filled with rage,
Is one which us who can never forget it
And there are some like you just cover your face
As you question your race
Pretending that you never
Let it effect you
Since there's no,
"take two"

---

As trees become naked
little animals start to hide
Big And bears become bashful
And swallow their pride
Birds start flapping their wings
The night becomes greedy
sunlight as light gradually fades away
Some old people go to Florida
And some others stay old people stay

---

What's wrong with getting swept away in a movie?
