The words on this page
Should I go to San Francisco
I'm getting tired of the snow
I've been stuck around here
For twenty five years
And I've been thinking I better go
There's not that much I'd be leaving
Except the one person I believe in
And Maybe that's the reason
Maybe it's time to let her go
I can't be sure but I think I know
I think [illegible] it's time to let her go
For my own piece of mind to ease my woe
I seem okay 'cause my pain don't show
I lock it away until I'm alone

---

How long have you been sleeping?
How long have your eyes been closed?
I can only fall asleep when I'm in safe keeping
The only time I'll leave myself exposed

---

Well I've been learning about myself
All the while I've been yearning for someone
Some one to love me just like you
Someone to erase all the heart ache
That I been through... do you...
Love me?
Is there anything on anyone above me?
Do you? Need me?
Will you take some time to teach me what I've left to learn.
Will you stop playing with fire
Because I'm so sick and tired of gettin' burned
I've been stared at into my soul by a liar
I've lost all control trying to get higher
I'm finally within reach of what I aspire
It's now smooth sailing where once the straights were dire

---

I've looked up and down
And left and right
I've gone out searching
In the middle of the night
Spent my days
Wandering around
I'm still trying to find
What I haven't found

---

A girl who was quite dear to me
Once asked me what was the color of love
I responded that to her it was whatever it appeared
to be
Perhaps it could be white as the wings of a dove
Flying up overhead with the moon above
The truth is not in the eyes
But in the feeling inside
Colors can sometimes disguise
As white is not always purified
The proof that you seek
Is in the truth I will speek
in saying the heart never lies

---

A lesson in politics one on one
I'm sure you'll like it it's so much fun

Every candidate has a rhyme around election time
Saying well do just fine if you wave this sign
Standing on the pedestal waving a fake gold medal
Rubbing on their crystal ball Saying they've been here and
there and seen and done it all
Only after the choice has been made and you dealt
them the ace of spades Thinking this isn't all a game
And you haven't been played Finally when all the
promises have been made You find the scale of
honesty has never been weighed As they forget
all they said
Speaking this while doing that they placed one
foot on the platform and then they fell flat
The train they boarded the to the top the engine failed
The track got derailed The conductor was jailed
And the bail collected was never mailed
Every opinion they stated was quoted as fact
They said the proof is in the eye and they said it
with such tact Even though no evidence ever backed
Numbers never lie unless you have the nack So
everyone signed the dotted line before reading the
pact And now everyone complains of paying so
high at tax But once you sign a deal
with the devil there's no going back

* Every candidate has a rhyme around election time
* Saying well do fine I you wave this sign
Speaking this while doing that
Stand on the pedestal waving their gold medal
* rubbing on their crystal ball They've been there and
* done it all only after the choice has been made
You've dealt them the Ace of Spades Thinking it's not
a game and you've not been played Then when all
the promises have been made the scale of
honesty has never been weighed As they forget all
they've said

She's all mine - you could never be any closer
Even if you're a rock star - She'd never
buy your poster
Just a word between friends - She loves
me the most
Time for you to see the end - Not a pig
but a pig roast
You may see her everyday - but I get her
on the weekends
My time's beginning she says - I'm a lover
you're just a friend
How could you try to steal my girl?
The last time I saw you we drank a twelve
pack
How could you try to steal my girl?
Cheers - Then go and stab me in the back
You could never scare me
I've met alot of guys like you
She said Not even if you dare me
She'd never ever go out with you
You only try to crowd her
But I could never be any closer

Somany choices so little time
Hear so many voices which one's mine?
Here at the bar its hard to hear
Drowning my sorrow in the bottom of my beer
One by one they take their toll
One at a time we all grow old
tes here at the bar I drown my sorrow
Because here at the bar there's no tomorrow
Sitting on my stool my mind will roam
Until I'm drunk and stupid and I go home
When you have a date with Jim Beam
Reality can become a dream
I sit here feeling all alone
Waiting for someone to take me home
The clock tells me that its getting late
Empty chair beside me I don't have a
date

RHYME OR REASON

When a sweaty palm melts into cold steel
A hand extends but does not feel
A pokered face turns the tables after a bad deal
As fantasy vengeance becomes real
Pent up aggression can not be concealed
As eyes full of blood are suddenly revealed
Aim is taken and fate is sealed

No rhyme or reason
It could happen to anyone
The child of indifferent's treason
The wedding and funeral has just now begun

The words on this page
Burning the candle at both ends
Usually causes a fire
I've told this to many a friends
And no one's ever called me a liar

Life is so preciously short
That there's no time to waste
With so many piles of things to sort
They'll just get higher with haste

Slow and steady wins the race
In the end you'll realize your fate
If you plan your steps you can slow your pace
The best things come to those who wait

---

Everything that was once important
Has since made an about face turn
Ideals and values which I once wrote down so proud
The paper which they were written on has burned
[Caught a spark from some illumination
And I now watch them burn]

I once heard a wise man say
The only certainty in life is change
Opinions drift with each passing day
Nothing ever remains exactly the same

This good life I lead
Along with my love for you
I may find I don't need
And they could die too

The high path road that I walk on may crumble
I could find my self among the trash cans in an alley
The mountains I climbed could be a volcano and rumble
for fear of explosion I may hide in the valley

The very place where I learned how to climb
The waving road I travel could bend
blind

The brutal honesty of this world
In which we live inside
Is that a man's soul will either watch
him peacefully die
gently
Or lay helpless as he is horribly crucified
This is not just mere opinion
But a simple fact that we can no longer
push aside

---

I AM ALWAYS ALONE
But the conversation never ends
You can find me at my home
Chatting with my 49 online friends
I haven't seen the sunshine
Since my computer crashed
My friends used to invite me out
And now they know not to ask
I sit on a thousand dollar chair
Which I out bid for on EBAY
I probably spent a little too much
But they delivered it the very next day
I can type eighty words a minute
I can type right from my chair
I buy everything and chew gum
Spend my time waiting for it to come
I wake up and have my coffee in Japan
Lunch in south of the border down in Mexico
Not sure where I'm gonna have dinner
But online there's always someone to know

TWO SEASONS
I see black clouds rolling in
Don't know where they're goin'
Don't know where they've been
I know some...
Hanging over my head
Others have been hiding heaven
Others mourning the dead
Some men chase shooting stars
Some men howl at the moon
While other men try to
Change the weather
Trying to turn every month
into June
But those men aren't like me
Things like that will never do
I only want what I see
And what I'm looking at is you

Ah, now I see the clouds
are blowing away
But I don't know what that means
So I don't know what to say
I've seen 'em before
I know I'll see 'em again
I've felt the warm sunshine
Been touched by the cold, cold rain
It seems my life
Has just two seasons
No more, no less, that's all
It seems my life
Has just two seasons
No summer, no winter
Only spring and fall
Sometimes when I look into your eyes
I feel I've been reborn
And yet other times get colder, broken,
I can feel my heart [scribbled out] torn

Adrift on the sea all alone
Seeking tranquility
Or at least a place to call home
Stranded and left by the side
of the road
Becoming both blind and deaf
While still carrying my heavy load
Seeking peace and quiet
within my mind
Only hearing a silent riot
No use to deny it
still looking but what will I find?
I crawl into my cave
Unable to be saved
I lower my head

---

The time is getting late
Your lifetime is passing
Why should you wait?
Is the question you are asking

Paralyzed by fear
Frozen by the uncertain
Unknowing in how far or near
Is the final curtain

You never can tell
What lies ahead
Maybe heaven, maybe hell
Only one man sorts the dead

You too will be placed in a pile
After meeting with the judge
But you can still walk down the golden isle
Providing you don't hold a grudge

In the here and now is when heroes are made
Then great statues are erected
In this world we live we die as villains fade
Those who have been poorly directed
As what is strived for is never perfected

In the here and now is where you are
You may try to run but you won't get far
The dreams you hold may never be
The light that shines you might not see

I am me so you can love it or leave it
Don't care what you like so I don't lie
Do you believe it?
Through other's eyes I can't see through
What you see's what you get
I will never be you
Don't want to hurt your feelings
But I wouldn't want to
I keep my makeup in a drawer
That's never been opened
Is the truth in the
or in the words spoken
As you see I've thrown away my mask
Let me tell you my friend
It's no easy task
So what you see is what you get
Have you seen anything that you like yet?
I am me so you can love it or leave it
I wear my heart on my sleeve
Could you ever conceive it?

The words on this page
Every candidate has a rhyme
Around election time
Saying we'll do just fine
If you wave this sign

A lesson in politics 101
you're sure to like it
It's so much fun

Standing on the pedestal
Waving their fake gold medal
Rubbing on their crystal ball
Saying they've been here and there
And they've seen and done it all

A lesson in politics 101
you're sure to like it
It's so much fun

Only after the choice has been made
And you've dealt them the ace of spades
While thinking this isn't a game
That you've never played
Finally after all the promises have been made
You've found that the scale of honesty has never been weighed
As they've forgotten all they've said

A lesson in politics 101
You're sure to like it
It's so much fun

Speaking this while doing that
They placed one foot on the platform
And then they fell flat
The train they boarded to the top the engine failed
The track got derailed
The conductor was jailed
And the bail collected was never mailed

A lesson in politics 101
you're sure to like it it's so much fun

Every opinion they stated was quoted as fact
They said that proof was in the eye and said it with such tact
Even though no evidenced backed
But Numbers can lie if you have the nack
So everyone signed on the dotted line without reading the pact
And now everyone's complaining of paying so high a tax
But once you sign a deal with the devil
There's no going back

Get outta my house

The carriage of gold which you both rode
Down the road on your wedding day
Some how became unhitched
And All the horses they ran away
After every mistake
Followed another excuse
As the chain started to break
She figured what's the use
She challenged you to a joust
When you called a truce
On her shield she wrote in your blood
Get outta my house

Hearts once ablaze afire
All of a sudden have lost their flame
Dreams previously together aspired
No longer remain the same
Coals in need of stoking
Have lost any chance of smoking
Leaving each night's watchmen pointing blame
The room grows cold as time grows old
It's time to move south after fire's been dowsed
As you watched the steam escape from her mouth
On the night she said get outta my house

I've been waiting for a night like tonight
For so very, very long
Sitting here studying the portrait of my life
Wondering just where the artist went wrong

Why does a sketch in black and white
Have so many shades of gray?
Painted over my canvas so many times
yet what was once drawn has still yet
to fade away

So one last time I decided to change
my style
Finally given up on drawing my
self-portrait alone
Imagined my eyes as those of a child
Now free from past errors to which I was
Prone

Thousand miles above

When dreaming of your eyes I stare at the stars
Thinking of your face I lose my train of thought

The day you tell me we'll never go any higher
Then I'll remove my shoes and go walking across the fire

The wind blowing cold across the stormy sea
No longer chills me having felt your fire.
To prove my love I'll race inside a burning building
to rescue anyone that your heart desires

Don't Fan the flames
Don't burn me
I'm not so bad
When you learn me

Day after day
You still amaze me
Don't say no
You'll drive me crazy

too many buildings, not enough sky
can't solve your problems, until you stop the lies
What about the children? they're being sacrificed
Better to leave 'em to the wilderness to be crucified
Got to make it better than this, do more than just incite
Know when to go with the flow, the static quo
and then know when to resist, when to raise fiat, to cease and desist
and find an alibi

Too many people to keep their all in line
many better men than me have died trying
I don't try to tend to the sheep being led to
the slaughter
For I've learned that some people's priceless advice
is worthless than a quarter
Funny how somethings are more important
than you first thought them
Only try to aspire to go higher once you've hit bottom
when in doubt just picture this...
Know when to go with the flow keep the status quo
when to hope when to pray for it
When to say it
and then know when to raise a fist
When to cease and desist
when to let it roll off your shoulder
And when to get pissed
can't live like this!

Too many obstacles, you get sucked in by tentacles
Keep on walking in circles, keep believing in miracles
Believing that you are spirit ual, searching for an oracle
be it political, mental, physical, biblical or historical
Believe in Freedom

When you're looking at me?
Sometimes I wonder if you're sure
If this is really where you want to be
Are those just memories of the way we were
Or has the past passed away
Uncovering something more?
What's instore? Surely no one of the earth
that could know
But we learned before... Once I loved you
And that lovestill has room to grow
Like a goldfish in a bowl of water

Caught up in this paradime
what yours is yours and
what's mine is mine
Still trying to find
the perfect line
that completes this rhyme
try to show you what I see
where what is
'tis not how it's supposed to be
I startled a man on the
street
Simply by saying hello
He said kid stop bothering me
There must be someone
else who
you can follow
But his words were hollow
Thus I retreated, in sorrow
Just another who failed to see,
We're all one in the global family

your back ground
your your color
your skin tone and race
Nobody ever asked your preference
You know you can't choose your
face.
And as you see your reflection
You realize that in difference
lies the root of [scratched out word] hate
So let us end this debate
over this cityless state As
equality waits...

Just like me
Happiness is a distant memory
So long unknown to me
Living in this world of adultery
Where what you see
Is not really what you see
Where what's to be
May never be
Though unchained
No one is free
Where you can look forever
And still not see
Believing simply that
What's to be is what's to be
God helps those who help themselves
Think twice to yourself
Before you trust in someone else
Or you run the risk
Of feeling just like me

Walking and Talking
You know that I write through
You know that I [?] about what I been
You know that I'm right about what I hold true
You know the answer to why I'm here
You know the answer to why I'm leaving
You know that some memories will never disappear
You know that you brought me nothing but love and cheer
And I brought you closer to yourself and so i guess now we
Just so sad that the changing of the season came so fast this year my dear
Sometimes everybody needs to plant a little seed
Seek the safety of a flower in this world of weeds
Something to give you power
Sometimes everybody needs a little bit of relief
Something to give you the power to turn your words to deeds
And to set your mind at ease
Even if it's only an hour
It's that every hour we must seize

I just go about life trying to do my part
Don't believe in stealing, lying or breaking hearts
I've learned that there's no excuse in denying
Some souls filled with a fire and just need the spark
No one's ever called me a liar and lived to talk
I try higher to aspire and I walk the walk
and talk the talk
and Don't be shocked
when I walk on water
to save a father's daughter

FRAMINGHAM BLUES

There's just so many damn people
In this world who just don't have a clue
Women who spend all their time
Hanging around the bars at closing time
Those who can't open new and better doors
Because they're so set in their ways
That they've closed their minds
Hence the root word of ignorance is
But they don't care what [?] says
And it ain't just y'all
Where people got what I call the Framingham Blue
Tan girls showing to much skin
So hip to the day's new style
Big dumb guys lifting in the weight room again
Speeding past you in their Benz...
As they smile
They think they're so cool
Thinking Bling-Bling is the golden rule
That's why I sing, that's why I'm sighing
That's what I'm trying to undo

There's just so many damn people
In this world who just don't have a clue
I know a man who doesn't have a wife or
all his life been married to his bar stool
Because he's married to his bar stool
I believe in education because they never taught
that in school
I believe in rehabilitation even for the
silliest fool
And that used to be me
But now I think that it might be you
And it ain't just y'all in Massachusetts
Where people got what I call the Framingham Blue
Tan girls showing too much skin
So hip to the day's new style
Big dumb guys lifting in the weight room again
Speeding past you in their Benz...
As they smile
They think they're so cool
It's everyone else who's a fool
Thinking Bling-Bling is the golden rule
That's why I sing, that's why I'm sighing
That's what I'm trying to undo

Another sleepless night as rain falls from the sky.
One more cigarette and I ask myself why?
What have I done that has been keeping me awake,
Not like I'm a bad man, never a life I did take.
Grab a beer from the fridge, it helps me to think,
But I doubt it'll make me tired, it's my only drink.
Looking through an open window as the cars pass by,
One more cigarette and I ask myself why.
Could be some depression, could be something more,
Don't know why I'm down, there's alot I'm thankful for.
I've done more in twenty years than some in a whole life,
I've already found a beautiful girl who'd make a beautiful wife.
She's been gone for about a week but she'll be back here in a day,
I'd tell you all about her, but my love is more than I can say.
One more cigarette and I ask myself why
Why I feel so low when I should feel so high?
For the first time in a long time I got my life on track,
I'm finally moving forward, rather than turning back.
Then why am I having trouble sleeping every time I hit the sack?
One more cigarette, I know I should stop but I tried,
Why do I feel like this, like I want to go and hide,
I look okay to you, because you can't see inside,
I'm the new chairman of the board, 'cause Frank Sinatra died.

is a lonely place
But its not worth waking up with
Someone in the morning
Just to see somebody elses face
And once in a while
Without any warning
She straightens the maze
gazing at me with eyes adoring
And what the heart feels here eyes say
I used to live for those moments
In fact, there was just one the other day
But I'm far more concerned with tomorrow
I want to own I don't want to borrow...

Cry me a river...
ten miles wide
Warm tears can still send a shiver
up and down your spine

Cry me a river... Are
Then Let me know when you through
Nothing was promised
And nothing was delivered -> When you're not sure
Never lost, never one then you should
Never us go back to
of being

No time in my life
Tired of sitting somewhere dark
watching and Waiting for you
the clock
I've got some magic in my pocket
I vst need the spark
I Know Theres a fire out there somewhere
A love so warm and true

Can you feel a dark entity
Clutching ahold of your sanity
All in the name of vanity
Creating such calamity
Within you and all your family
And all the things you love

[illegible crossed out text]
Chasing the mirage of the oasis -
A paradise still that you believe is real
[illegible crossed out text]
Yet those of us who wear real faces
Acknowledge that some wounds are slow to heal
Yet dying is not healing
With so much life to live
Hiding what you're feeling
Holding onto what you should give
Let it out
Find a release
Unlock the door
To your inner peace
Cage the Beast
Who has been released
Put him back in his place
And you will find your smiling face

I just
picked up my pen
It's been god knows when
Since I really tried
To see something through to the end
And now... I'm at it again
Don't know just where to begin
[struck out: Setting out]
Sifting through the rubble
Digging myself out of trouble
I'm waiting for the time to be right
Always hesitating that's the story of my life
To think I might have made it
Had I acted on what I knew
