JUST ANOTHER MEMORY

Won't you
Have close your eyes can you still see me?
Listen to my song written for someone so dear to me
Hear every syllable come out the truth
Can you see me?
Have I appeared to you?
Hold onto me... never let me fade away
Need [arrow pointing to 'fade away' with text 'somewhere you know']
Never let me disappear... Don't you mean to me just another?
Keep me real... I never want to become a memory

You're my sole ray of light
On this cloud-filled day
The One who gives finds the me words
When I don't know what to say
You keep me brave and strong
Enough so I can face anything in my way
You're my compass in the wilderness
Keeping my heart full of tenderness
So I won't be led astray [?]

8 Everyday thousands of people
8 Can be seen here walking downtown
8 Watch them pass the pizza parlor
8 And Gaze out upon the harbor
8 There are so many sights and sounds
8 Some act like young children
8 Laughing smiling looking around in the sides
8 While others stand without their hands of their pockets
8 Sadly walking with their heads down
8 Keep staring at the ground
8 I see a well-dressed man waiting for someone or anyone
8 that will help him with his quest to find what can't possibly
8 be found
8 I'm in not running for anything or from anyone
8 I'm searching for one special face amongst the crowd
8 though I mistake for
8 From a distance I saw someone that sticks out
8 As I tried to catch the butterflies and those anxious feelings
8 to my surprise I realized it was the sillonette of a stranger
8 All too revealing once I changed my point

I share my darkness with the morning
It's about time to set back the clocks
I can see now that the world's been turning
From a hole in my prison box
Through my own
Yes, I'd rather sit here in seclusion
Than go chasing after someone else's dream
So many have become entrapped by the false illusion
That all we see is it appears to be
really what

That girl's blonde hair
Comes from a bottle
It's not real

see those knockers
Pure silicone
Go on and cop a feel
of
All the freedoms
That we once held dear
With a lie and the swipe of a pen
Have been stripped I see them disappe
Life sure has changed
So much since yesteryear
I'll become an enemy of the state
When Hope conquers fear
no longer

Perhaps I'm being too critical
OF the society in which we live
But some times it's hard to take
when those with the least are the only one's who'll give

It's such a complicated subject this matter of war
Traces back to the beginning of time if not before
Intertwined with our destiny
Throughout our history
The fate of humanity
Rests within this legacy

The true nature of man is not one of understanding or peace
And the way it stands now violence and bloodshed shall never cease
For it seems that everyone will eventually suffer defeat
All genders and races, all colors, all nations, beliefs and creeds

When she smiles I frown
I picked her up, can't put her down
Within six months I'm leaving town
If I wanna move on I've got to move around

It seems like all my life it's been like this
I always find myself reliving our last kiss
Been a long time since she was mine and now she's his
And yet I just keep on watching all of the things I miss

So I wrote her off and then she sent me a letter
I took some time off hoping my heart would feel better

I walk the beach this summer's day
I can feel the sun but it's so out of reach

Do I want her is she the one
Questions asked while walking up and down the shore

Do I wait or has our time past?
Am I treading water in a motionless state?

Is she more mother or daughter?
Are those same eyes I know - same as I saw before

She left me here and I'm so low
She's probably sitting home and she doesn't care

The ocean's blue, but not alone
We share this song I'm now writing for you

CRYSTAL BALL
Indecisiveness has got a hold of me
Should I stay should I go?
The high road the low road
So many forces that push and that pull
They act as they will there acting there still
One of the choices I have to make [illegible - looks like 'do just']
Do I just need a break
How much [illegible - scribbled out] more [illegible - crossed out] can I take
Couldn't sleep for the last month and a half
Need a crystal ball 'cause I broke the glass
Was it half full or half empty
But I can get it refilled they've got plenty
Or at least they tell me so
But just where I still don't know
Maybe around the corner
Maybe half way across the globe
Still I'm just a foreigner
Trapped in the land of job
I don't feel disgraced
I'm just losing my faith
Finding more questions than answers
As the hour's getting late
[illegible signature/text]

COVERINGS
I have many hats
I own a fisherman's hat yet I don't fish
Also a birthday hat
Yet I have yet to make a wish

I have a baseball cap
and on it my favorite team
As well as a straw hat
Reminding me of pretty nature scene

A stocking hat upon my ears
I find it strange not upon my feet
And of course a blue [illegible/crossed out] marrow prison
Exposing my scalp to summer's warm heat

Since meeting you I have traded all my coverings
Varying in all shapes and sizes
I now [crossed out] wear proudly a crown of happiness
As each coming day it's height rises

The words on this page
It's all bottled up
all this love, all this pain
all these emotions that make me [illegible] man
But I think it sucks
When you think the road runs straight but it's a dead end
When I feel this way yet don't understand

Would I change it all?
Knowing either I would always stand up or always [illegible]
I'm not sure forever in truth or always lying
I want to roll over and play dead
I want to fight on and I'll sure die trying

What's the point of living?
If you've never needed or never given

---

Welcome to my new life
I'll give you the guided tour
Show you all the things that hurt me
And tell you why I'm not there no more
I once rode the rollar coaster
Up, down and around it went
Then one day when I lost my tichet
I found all my money spent

The rollar still whirled me around
Shook out my faith and dignity
I never will try my nite to on the town
Pretended that it never effected me
What I saw was of someone else
So I never doubted my self
Because of coure nothing ever bothered me

No Rhyme or Reason

(With no rhyme or reason)
(It could happen to anyone)

When a cool palm melts into cold steel
As a hand extends but does not feel
A pokered face turns the tables after a bad deal
Fantasy vengence becomes real
Aim is taken as fate is seated
Pent up agression is suddenly revealed
eyes Full of blood are suddenly revealed
The face eyes of
Aim is taken as fate is sealed
With no rhyme or reason
It could happen to anyone
All it takes is indifference
And the help of a gun

The child of indifference's treason

---

Oh clarialia
Stop and smell the flowers
The little ones walking toward you make sure you catch their eyes
Maybe say hello then say good bye
Stop and watch the children laughing
Before they start to cry

Oh Clarialia
Stop and smell the flowers
Feel the warm rain before you run for cover
Admire the spark of lightening and the roar of thunder
Stop and be puzzled by mystery
Before everything has been discoved

---

There's blood on the sheets
She was pure
We played doctor
And I had the cure

Worship me for who I am
Not for who I'm not
The Fences I hopped
Ive barely gotten across

There's no time to look for
Four leaf clovers
That will come
When the trouble's over

The road of life
Is a one way street
Though you still have to break
For every stop sign of defeat

In such a big world
There's all kinds of people to meet
Just be careful of which
Hitch hiker to which you lend your
seat

---

I never show my weakness
Even when I'm breaking up inside
The only thing stronger than my ego
is my foolish sense of pride
And what I try to hide
And it's burning me alive
I started staying home
Disconnect the phone
Stay with my own kind
Swim within my mind

Self control is a common goal
By using free will people can kill
There is safety in numbers
like solitary confinement
People, not unlike machines
still need some refinement
Alas, there is no hammer for the heart
Certainly no wrench for the soul
We haven't perfected recycling yet
You're still thrown out when you're old
Dead Vagrants and peasents thrown
As Wisemen and nobles are lowered into casket
Both groups segregates by the pews of the church
Though each drop their money in the passing basket

---

I don't know why they left it to me
When you talk about I them you forget about we
If you forget about we them you forget about us
Then everyone's boarding the same old bus
It's Driving into the [?] wall
I don't know why they left it to me
Somethings must be told because you can not see
Just because you have a different mother
Doesn't mean I can't call you brother
We're all one big family
I don't know why they left it to me

TIME WILL TELL
Above my head I hear a clap of thunder
I can't escape this cloud I'm under
Maybe I am God's only blunder
Or perhaps I am the world's eighth wonder
Oh, only time will tell
Whether I'm closer to heaven or closer to hell
At least I know my story and I tell it well
There's something in the air but what do I smell?
The tip of the iceberg or the bottom of the well?
Either my name will be remembered just like King Richard the third
Or I'll just be another singer whose song was never heard
Will I be the lurer or will I be the lured?
Will I live by the pen or die by the sword?
Oh, Only time will tell
Am I closer to heaven or closer to hell?
I hear the voice of someone calling me
But I don't know his name and his face I can't see
Don't know if I'm locking the cell or finding the key
Because both God and the Devil are still a mystery to me
Oh, only time will tell
Whether I'm closer to heaven or closer to hell

Just a shadow of smoke
That's how I appear
Try to reach out and touch me
What you see disappears
No living soul can reach me
First you see my face
Then gone without a trace
Vanish into thin air
Just another mystery
A puzzle no one can solve
First I am there
And then I dissolve
Just a castle of sand
Before the tide comes to me
And after a warm embrace
Carries me back to the sea
Back into the fog I fade
My own solitary parade
Back into the waters I wade
I can't undo all I have made
I've lost my soul
Through all the horrors I've seen
Along with past desires
Of everything I could have been
And to the days of old
I can never return
As time passes slowly
The memories still burn
As I see the children laugh
And young mothers dance
I know I have lived my life
There is no second chance

This is a new song my latest hit
I didn't want to write it
But I don't know how to quit
I found the time to pen this rhyme
During my self-exhile from the house
After I screamed bitter words of anger
When I should have stayed as quiet as a mouse
Now I'm a king without a castle
A husband missing his spouse
What was once buried so deep
Finally found its way out
As it seems that the preacher who was teaching
Had no idea what he was talking about
And I believed his every word
Listened to all of his lies
Somehow I {struck: turned} changed the happiest girl in the world
Now she's got tears running down her eyes

Today is the day I know that I will make it
When I was cast from the mold who knew that I
would break it
In bitter fits of jealousy there are those who
can't take it
Pretend to walk in my shoes when I know
that they fake it
Be yourself don't try to be me
Open the door that'll set you free
My pen name Bob Dylan Jr is gone
I've stepped into the shoes of a man named Tom
A poet, a writer, who dabbles in song
And learns from the masters what he's known
all along

---

Just being here tonight
Gives me more poetry to write
Just hoping you'll come along
Now that calls for a song

---

MY EASTERN LOVE

As time crawls by and I stare above
I dream of you, my Eastern love
I see your eyes as I draw your face
You take me away to a better place
Where hatred is gone
It has been erased
I live in your eyes
As I draw your face
I drink to your health
And as I raise my glass
I toast to the future and time
That has not yet passed
My Eastern love, the limit is the sky
The feelings I have for you
Could circle the world wide
My Eastern love, in the shadows you
hide
You've come all this way to be at my
Side

---

GO ANYWHERE FROM HERE

I know a man
This man I met
He says is this it?
As good as it gets?
Well sometimes you
Can't see so clear
I said "look around"
You can go
Any where from here
You can build your own mountains
You can part your own sea
Float up on the clouds
Turn off gravity
You can fight to make change
Or just let things be
You can unlock the doors
Because only you hold the key

---

Corona's at the beach with no women
at my side
Must be that time again to take
a deep look inside
A slice of lime to kill my time
A station flip as I take a sip
Problems must be uncoered
Before yourself is discovered
Time to sweep in the corners of
your mind
You can never be sure of what
you'll find
Maybe long lost dreams not as distant
as they seem

Who is to say
It wasn't me, so don't put fault my way
Don't point your scorn at me
You know roses have thorns
You should have planted a tree

The words on this page
I've been plowing these same
fields for nearly thirty years
And ain't no great visions ever
magically appeared
Just the sight of me standing here
Alone with my regrets
and all of deep seeded fears

There's so much work to be done
once the summer comes
The engine hums as the tractor runs
Seven days a week I'm out in the sun
Back in my familiar place though a new season
has begun.

It keeps the family fed it's a dependable trade
It's the choice I've made
For three decades
I've been living the same exact day
Never followed through on the things I say
Year by year my childhood dreams fade further
And now the sky is turning gray away
All those conversations with myself have been hearsay
This is the price I pay for being too afraid
I let myself down and now I feel betrayed
There's no more giving myself any leeway

I never merged onto the freeway
I never headed out on the highway
The car just sat in the driveway

Secret room
I have turned the knot that opens up a door
to a secret room that doesn't have a floor
Where the walls are bare and there is just
a folding chair
Floating in space and time and on
it reads a sign
That states: This is the thrown to a Kingdom
which awaits any man who creates
A way to rise up above the fray
And reach the seat hanging below this archway
for he is the next protege who can free this world
from its everpresent pain, block out
the sun, and turn off and on the rain...

The words on this page
I woke up this morning
In a place I'd been before
I'm ready to turn the page
first I must close some doors
I thought that maybe I'd been learning
But now I'm not so sure
Once, I found my way out of this maze
Suddenly, I've been returning to my old ways
Perhaps I should pay some more attention
To what my little guidebook says
In this world of black and white
Sometimes we stay within the gray
I know what I want, what I do and what I say
Yet sometimes late at night
I let myself forget what my conscience says
As I lose my strength will to fight
This is just the price I pay
I woke up this morning
Or should I say this afternoon?
Thinking about the bridges I've been burning
The only way to escape from this land of ruin
Wondering what the hell it is
That I've been doing?
Things certainly can't stay this way,
For I am the only one I'm screwing

---

THE END OF TIME
Your eyes are so beautiful
that I can't begin to say
your eyes are so beautiful
that they take me away

To somewhere I can only be when I'm
[crossed out: looking] seeing your face
And as I look around I think what a
wonderful place
When away from you I am only a
part of a whole
Yet when we're together I feel
both my heart and soul

If eyes are really windows
to the inside of someone's mind
then what I see I believe tells me
I won't leave until the end of time

WATERING THE WEEDS
There's no more secrets
No more hiding what you know is true
And you better believe it
There's no more denying to yourself
No use in lying to everyone else
Self - crucifying... that's exactly what you do
Jesus Christ! Yeah, he did it too

What's left to play
When you can't play pretend?
Just what can you say?
When you know that it's the end?
This crippling disease has taken its toll
Will never heal, can never mend, will never be whole
No escaping the demons that have taken control
A man who's lost his mind has lost his soul
And once you've lost the love then that's the end
- it's time to go

While you've been praying for salvation
I've been thinking about all the time that
You've been wasting
You're not a failure
If you're forced to find another sailor
Because the one you've got
He's always running from the cops
After breaking up on the rocks
Seems the madness never stops
In your mind you flip and then flop
Riding a broken down Mercy - Go-Round
Wondering when you're getting off?

When will you realize that we've all
Just one life to live?
You've got your fingers and your toes
In the cracks of the dam
And you're running out of hands
It's still leaking like a sieve
You had better back away
'Cause pretty soon it's gonna give

When will you realize that...
#1 You're better off alone
#2 You can't get blood from a stone
When's he coming home?
Don't you think that's a bit too soon?
You are truly your mother's child
If you really believe that this rose is going to bloom

Perhaps it's time to grab the weed wacker
Hiding so many secrets
(Like how many times he's really smacked ya)
Turn off your hose
Stop watering the weeds*
There's already too few flowers
Is this what the world really needs?

Never again Never again Never again
Will I cut you out
Never again Never again Never again
Could I go without you
Even though Sometimes I might like to cut you out
I'll be here 'til the very end I have no doubt
Even if I have to pull what's left of my hair out of my head
Sometimes life just isn't fair because I'll love you 'til I'm dead
I have decided that that's my FatE
A love that's one-sided try carrying that weight
Following the one who guided me and helped to create
Some one who finally confided in what was only first-rate
It makes no sense to hide it there's no longer any debate

United We Stand
All for one and one for all
But there is no sense in hiding
But it makes no sense to hide it
That he thinks this and she believes that
One man's fiction is another man's fact
Not every argument is one sided

All for one and one for all
After one on the way up is now going down
The empty words were spoken
The unity was broken
The three musketeers have all skipped town

All for one and one for all
Very similar to an alcoholic's motto
Take it a day at a time
It'll ease your mind
There's no such word as tomorrow

All for one and one for all
While time is wasting, the time is now
For either your God or yourself
Maybe for, for us or maybe something else
To some higher power we each take our vow

All for one and one for all
Tell me what kind of future does this world hold
The terminally ill are getting sicker
Each coming day our children are growing up quicker
But what hasn't a price cannot be sold

All for one and one for all
The justice system of our country has no equal
But the cases keep getting worse
And after a movie is made everybody wants
In line to by the sequel

All for one and one for all
The liberty bell keeps on ringing
Republicans and Democrats
Still try to find out where the sound is at
Until they do I'll keep on singing

All for one and one for all
You can sit and read quotes on the wall
But I believe Lincoln said it best
There is really no need to recite all the rest
United we stand, Divided we fall

All for one and one for all
It takes many seeds to plant a garden
You better harvest before the frost
For if you don't your work will be lost
And I feel a wintery chill just starting

Has anyone seen my apron?
Has anyone seen my keys
I can't see too well without my glasses
And I lost them too while I was cooking peas

By the way, do you know where my truck is?
I could have sworn I drove it home
But at least I know when my birthday is
Because this nice man who knew I'd forget it
Kindly carved it on a stone

Well thanks for helping me find my apron
I left it hanging from my waist
When I opened the door to my truck
In the ignition I found the keys that I misplaced

Maybe I'll remember where I left my glasses,
After a good nights sleep so I guess I go to bed
But wouldn't you know it when I went to brush
my teeth
I happened to look up in the mirror
And I saw them glasses on my head

This is just part of getting older
When you forget more than most people remember
I just hope you don't forget my birthay
On the twenty fifty day of December

The words on this page
a dime a dozen
There's a blue sky above
But the weather's still cold
Up there there's a rainbow
And everybody's searching for a pot of gold
After believing every story ever told
But me, I only want what is real
What I can see
What I can feel
No time for make believe
That's not the kind of life I lead
So I no longer beg and plead
With people who deceive
As soon as they say hello
I tell them I have to leave
They sell their kind
for a dime a dozen
They're here and then gone
All of a sudden
And so I live like a turkey in an oven
In a world that can be so cruel
With everybody making their own rules
And thinking every encounter is another duel
Another corner turned, another fool
Those who could live in the artic and not keep their cool
Just Treading water in misery's pool
Being used as evil's tool
Following a carrot on a stick just like a mule
Some may call them an ass
But it depends on who you ask

I must be strong, I'll see her next week,
I'll get along but my interest will peak.
I felt a new feeling as soon as she spoke,
If I could buy her with money I know I'd be broke.
There's something about her, I can't really tell,
She must be a witch 'cause I'm caught in her spell.
My love is long lost but I may have just fell,
If she is the dark side then burn me in hell.
But life can be funny and full of suprise,
What can be inside this magical girl?
The sun or the stars or even the world.
Captivation is my motivation

It feels like Friday night
But it's only a Thursday
All it takes is
something unplanned
to turn your
Best day to your worst
cold wet morning
another raining day
past troubles come finding
you again
The world so fast is turning
That you go looking for
long friends
I never heard a single
whistle
Until I got ran over
by a train

Peaking through the Keyhole
Sometimes I need a good talking to set my mind at ease
It's not always good for you doing just what you please
When the door is locked you just have to find the right keys
So stop peaking through the keyhole, get up off your knees

Just a glimpse of the whole will never do
With the door barred and chained it's so hard to get through
Like a deer in headlights your feet stick like glue
Denial is just another lie that you believe is true

I've been sedated
My head played with
Medicated
Regulated
And every word they said dictated

I've been questioned and I've stated
Everything good I've had I've traded
With every step I walk been baited
A life like mine you begin to hate it

This place is sucking the life out of me
The light is so dim I can barely see
Everywhere I go trouble seems to follow
But a gulp this big is hard to swallow

This place is sucking the life out of me
Just when I think to myself how hard can
it be?

The days blend together
There is no change
Not every storm can be weathered
When you're not home on the range

This place is sucking the life out of me
Now I know how the Indians felt when
Columbus sailed across the sea
Washed upon their shore
Walked right through their door
Showed them their deepest, darkest fears
Then made them follow a trail of tears

This place is sucking the life out of me
Hour by hour I lose my dignity
Day by day they take my pride
Week by week their laws I abide

The smell of beer fills the air
Better leave how while the coast is clear
Wasted lives try to capture the past
But little they know the shadow's been cast
As Another drink fills their glass
they wonder which road was the one that they passed
The road that would have led them out of this place
The road that maybe would have put a smile on their face
Deep down the know there are roads up ahead
And if they miss their next turn
Then they're better off dead

The words on this page
Yes I was once a child many years ago
And I learned the hard way the things I didn't know

Life was once so simple
But like a gunshot in the temple
I was told I couldn't go higher
And was thrown into the fire
Now all I can do is dream
Back to the days my own eyes did gleam
Someday when everyone is asleep
That child will come here to weep
And they too will write a song
About how the innocence they once knew is gone
And they'll say...

[As soon as I'm high something brings me down
Just as soon as I smiled something brings me down
made me frown
As soon as I blinked my childhood passed
What I loved so much I want it back]

---

ALL OR NOTHING

Well I just turned another corner
I just saw another sign
Everyone's got something they want to sell me
I only want what's mine
Something with [?] such a cost
That few would ever pay
They just keep on searching
Hoping they'll find it someday
No, No I never get no rest
No, No I never settle for second best
It is all or nothing
And so far zero
One for the villain
None for the hero

Even Superman gets tired
Now he rides his horse
I'm setting out for my journey
Right now I'm just plotting my course
Not moving from East to west
Ain't no cheating on this here test
I've given up goin' from town to town
Doing my best not to go from up to down

DOWNWARD SPIRAL

High above, an angel cries
Down below, even storms have eyes
What grows in me I now despise
Deep inside another man dies
Blood clot
Gun shot
It's all the same
Heartache
A big mistake
Just part of the game
Weeds growing wild
A saddened child
Who's to blame?
Another birthday cake
Wear black at the wake
We're glad you came
It's a vicious cycle
You better stay on your toes
It's a downward spiral
It comes and it goes

BREAKING THE LAW

No need for seniority
When you've got the majority
Cici took a hike
So I jump on my bike
Alvin [?] stole my car
Don't think I'll get too far
But still, I got Mary Jane
And she still drives the insane
It's party time!
M.t. has arrived
[?] when she's around I never
Get too fucked up to drive
I just forget
Where the bags are I hide
She's the only
Law I don't abide
She'll come knockin' on my door

Even after I die

I just bought a beeper
Now I keep people in my pocket
I told my secretary to go home
Even still I am never alone
I go hiking in the mountains
Two hundred miles away
I can barely walk two-hundred steps
That damn thing kept going off all day
I finally threw it in the river
But then I fished it out
Polluting Mother Nature
Will leave you down and out

By the time I got to my paper
My pen was too tired to write
My eyes they started closing
And then I lost my sight
I don't quite exactly remember
Just what I was thinking of
It had something to do with you
And had something to do with love
Blah, Blah, Blah sound the same
The words all [?] the same
Ha, Ha, Ha
Even silence sings your name

I do what I do
But at least I do it well
Will it get the better of me
Well only time will tell

Extreme in Nature
No moderation
Trade your future
For a new sensation
Hoping you don't end up
On a permanent vacation
But in this world
Both life and death -
Are cause for celebration

The waves are getting higher
But there's no place to dock the ship
You're starting to look tired
Let me give you a tip

If anyone waving a flag
Or someone holding a badge
When they come your way
Hey {struck: o} listen to what I say
You better run away
This ain't no place to stay
